As a Registered Training Provider, CREATE exists to provide learning to the Geelong community through a wide range of programs and services. CREATE receives government funding which supports us in our delivery of accredited courses that are designed to help adults begin, or change, their career direction
Our mission is:
CREATE Training will achieve it's mission through the professional delivery of services that meet the needs and expectations of customers and stakeholders.
We offer flexible, innovative training that fits in with the way our customers learn best. Our classes are small so that customers will get to know CREATE's trainers on an individual basis. There are generally no pre-requisites for courses and no exams.
Our courses are vocationally orientated and require students to undertake practical placements in the workplace. This aspect of CREATE courses provides employers with the knowledge that CREATE graduates have practical experience in applying their skills.
Our courses provide pathways into further education, training and career opportunities. If you are an employer wanting to help improve the skills of your employees, or an individual who feels they are lacking general skills in numeracy and literacy, then our courses are able to help you get the most out of your job or to assist in making a career change.
This website will give you all of the information you need to know about CREATE, including all the courses we offer and the possible careers that you may pusue with a CREATE qualification.
All training currently delivered by CREATE is nationally accredited and recognised. You will be advised if the training you are enrolled in is not accredited. All Certificate III courses are government funded, concessions available for eligible participants.

Course in Community Numeracy and Literacy
With the CREATE Certificate III in Business Administration course, you could move a step closer to achieving your career goals.
This course will prepare you for a role within a business unit, working under direct supervision. It will provide you with the skills required to perform common business related tasks such as producing documents and building customer relationships. It will introduce you to a range of standard business software packages includes word processing, layout and database software.
The Certificate III in Business Administration includes general administrative and IT competencies such as word processing, keyboarding, scheduling and utilising a range of software packages to produce documents and databases.
This course is delivered three days per week, for 18 weeks, excluding school holidays.

This course will qualify you to work in aged care and home and care where there are many exciting job opportunities available for qualified workers.
This course is suitable for people wanting to work as:
Students receiving this level of training work under supervision and are not responsible for other workers. Staff carries out activities related to an individual’s personal care and/or other activities of living.
This course is delivered three days per week, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for 18 weeks, excluding school holidays.

This course aims to provide you with the essential skills and knowledge to work in variety of early childhood settings including centre based care.
You will learn how to care and interact effectively with children and foster and support the emotional well being of infants.
You will also learn how to provide administration support in a child-care facility, and provide a safe and healthy working environment.

This course aims to build the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence needed to assist teachers working with learners with special needs.
Teacher Aides are employed to assist with the delivery of education programs, often focusing on literacy, numeracy and support for students with special needs.
You will work with students with a range of special needs, to support their learning needs in order for them to operate successfully in a learning environment.
This course is delivered three days per week, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday for 18 weeks, excluding school holidays.

Our Certificate IV in Disability is for people who work or want to work in services that support people with a disability.
You will develop skills in communication, administration, networking and advocacy essential for disability work.
Successful completion of these qualifications will enable you to gain employment as a personal care assistant or a disability support worker in home or community care agencies.

This course will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct training and assessment in a specific industry area of your expertise.
The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the minimum qualification necessary to train and educate adult learners in tertiary education and training.

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is a fee for service course and does not attract Government Fee Concessions. Courses are delivered as evening classes and will commence midyear, dependent on expressions of interest.
This course is for adults and young people with a disability who wish to improve and develop their literacy and numeracy skills as well as gain the knowledge and skills required for everyday living and community access.
Community Numeracy and Literacy delivers’ basic literacy and numeracy skills using real life situation and resources to reinforce everyday skills. Units such as money management and travel and direction provide learners with the skills and knowledge that will allow them to participate in their community.
This course is delivered one day per week. Adult classes are delivered form CREATE Head Office every Tuesday and the Youth classes are delivered every Monday at our Youth centre in Norlane.

CREATE applies the Victorian Government's Policy of Ministerial Fees and Charges to charge enrolment and materials fees for courses funded by the Adult Community and Further Education Board (ACFE) and any other government funded training.
Some students may be eligible for a concession on enrolment fees. Proof of concession card is required. (Commonwealth Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veteran's Gold Card, dependent spouse or child of the card holder).The concession also applies to Indigenous students.
There is a materials fee for some courses the amount is detailed on each individual course flyer. The enrolment fee and materials fee will be advertised clearly as two separate charges
CREATE charges an enrolment and materials fee on all fee for service courses. Concessions are available on some courses and details will be provided on the course/traineeship application. These concessions will not apply if the student's tuition contribution is being met by a Commonwealth Government agency or as part of a Commonwealth program initiative.
Government Funded courses
If you withdraw and provide us with written notice of your withdrawal from a course or traineeship within 4 weeks of the course/traineeship commencing, then you will receive a full refund of the enrolment fee (less $55) and materials fee.
Fee for Service courses
if you withdraw once a course/traineeship has commenced you will not receive a refund unless the student can demonstrate cause for special consideration
A full refund of all fees will be granted.

CREATE has policies and procedures in place for dealing with student’s complaints. At CREATE we take any suggestion, complaint or grievance very seriously and all staff will work to ensure you’re your comments are acted upon quickly and fairly.
CREATE will recognise what you already know through its Recognition of the Prior Learning/Current Competency process.
This process takes into account what you have already learned from other courses, life experiences, work experience and from any training provided at work. Your current skills and knowledge are measured against the course of study you are undertaking or want to undertake. If what you have learned at work or elsewhere is relevant to the course, you may not have to do those parts of the course again.

CREATE recognises all qualifications issued by other Registered Training Organisations and will provide direct credit transfer for any previously attained units, modules or certificates listed on our qualification scope of registration held by prospective students.
