CREATE Access
CREATE Access is a large and dynamic department within CREATE providing individualised support to people with a disability as well as people who are experiencing multiple barriers to employment in both the Barwon South West and North West Metropolitan Regions.
Our vision is to offer services that have a flow-through effect with people accessing our service in the areas of work, training, employment, self advocacy, and self esteem.
We are focussed on providing the support and encouragement needed for people to achieve their personal dreams and aspirations in the life areas of their choice.
All CREATE Access programs and support services aim to focus on individual need and achieving real and life-changing outcomes.
We currently offer the following services:

WorkAssist @ CREATE
CREATE Access has developed a pool of qualified disability workers available to provide support to individuals or organisations on a fee-for-service basis.

Futures for Young Adults
Individual planning and support in all areas of life for people with a disability aged 18 years and over.

Accommodation Project
This service provides assistance to people with a disability who are seeking independent, long-term accommodation. The project also offers people up to 12 months monitoring once they have moved into independent living.

Independent Living Skills
Several small group programs and services are run in local community centres to assist people to develop skills in areas such as cooking, budgeting, shopping etc to allow them to live as independently as possible in the community.

Personal Support Program (PSP)
PSP is a Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) funded program. The PSP provides up to two years support for participants to assist them in addressing their barriers to employment.
PSP is a case management program that seeks to be a bridge between short term crisis service supports and employment programs.
CREATE Access does not operate under a group-based service model.
We choose to provide individualised planning and skill development.
We offer a highly individualised service that allows individuals to develop their very own trial package.
We do provide several small groups.
Our programs and services are continuously expanding and developing to meet the needs of our participants and identified service gaps.
